The World Of Glass Exhibition Private View

Well, what can I say? I thought we would have a small gathering to celebrate the end of our night class and the amazing work that was produced. Instead, we had a night brimming with visitors, students, staff and governors, all taken a back by the quality and maturity of the work on show. The smiles of the viewers were a perfect end to the course, what more could I ask for? To see the pride in the faces of the students filled me with a sense of achievement, not because I felt the classes had been a success, but because all my students (in fact all students everywhere) just need to be shown how their creativity can effect others, confidence can not be bought, it must be earned. They most certainly earned it. I'm so proud, this is just the beginning for them.

Many thanks go to Hannah and Mark at The World Of Glass, the art department at De La Salle for the unwavering support and to the very talented Boutique La Salle for sponsoring this event.

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be announced on Monday, but I can tell you this...there are 2 votes between first and second place. Its tight!
